East Field Hockey: The search for a 4th consecutive title continues

Photo and article by Matt Creatore The East Chapel Hill Field Hockey team quickly jumped out to an 11-1 record this season and is on track to make a statement in the state playoffs. The Lady Wildcats are piling up victories, and they are headed in the right direction just as the regular season starts to dwindle down. While their squad has many strengths, junior Sydney Holman believes they also have areas that need improvement. “Offensively we have worked really well on our passing and communication,” Holman said. “We still need to work a lot on free hits and cutting to the ball, as well as recognizing when to switch…

Wildcat football bolstered by Eastside’s support

By Matthew Creatore The Wildcat offense headed by Coach Bill Renner utilizes an offensive set called the five wide spread, which provides Quarterback Drew Davis with a platform to involve each of his receivers. This type of passing offense has allowed Davis to rack up some serious yardage; he is now ranked number one in the country in passing yardage. “Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?”

By Mitul Mehta One’s goal upon entering high school is simple: to succeed. Getting good grades is part of it, but we also want to succeed socially. I have been at East for my whole high school tenure, and have seen my fair share of awkward conversation moments. So I have decided to compile a list of pick-up lines which will help you break the ice when conversing.   Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again? Pardon me miss, I seem to have lost my phone number, could I borrow yours? If you stood in front of a mirror and held up 11…
