    Following the Tar Heels victory in the NCAA Championship game, fans from across North Carolina celebrated at home and on Franklin Street. Immediately after the buzzer sounded and confetti floated onto the court, stores were ready for the crowds of ravenous fans with newly designed championship apparel.     Duke Blue Devils Dominate ACC Tournament

    This season, the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament saw 15 of college basketball’s greatest teams battle it out on the court of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. At the start of the tournament, many analysts believed that the Carolina Tar Heels would become back-to-back ACC regular season and tournament champions, a monumental feat in the most competitive conference in the nation. The Tar Heels cemented their ACC regular season championship in a gritty win over Duke in Cameron Indoor Stadium, which net them a double-bye in the ACC tournament. The Tar Heels remained resilient against a tough Pittsburgh team that is currently seeded 10th in the East region of the NCAA tournament. The absence of prominent starters throughout the season thus far has granted increased playing time to various other players and positions on the deep Carolina bench.
