    Misplaced secessionist impulse is a burden on American progress

    By Sam Killenberg In the wake of one of the most divisive and contentious presidential elections in recent memory, President Obama and his administration have faced a bombardment of petitions for secession. Each of the 50 states has requested that the president “peacefully grant” their state permission to secede.
